MCCU Appoints Susan Shold as Vice President of Human Resources
(Duluth, MN) June 1, 2020 In its continuous efforts to bring talented leaders to the organization, Members Cooperative Credit Union (MCCU) welcomed Susan Shold as Vice President of Human Resources. As a key member of MCCU’s leadership team, Shold will oversee recruitment, talent management and employee relations, while providing strategic leadership to the credit union for H.R. initiatives.
Shold joins MCCU with 10 years of experience in human resource management and is an instructor at the University of Wisconsin Superior, where she teaches classes for the Human Resources Generalist Certificate Program.
“I am excited to join an organization that treats its members and employees with such high standards or professionalism and respect,” said Shold. “I’m eager to see where MCCU and the financial services industry, as a whole, goes, and how I can best use my education and experience to complement its needs.”
Shold earned her B.A. from Concordia University, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Legal Studies with an emphasis on employment law and conflict resolution at the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law at Arizona State University. Shold serves on the board of the Northland Human Resources Association where she serves as treasurer. She is also the Legal Studies Advisory Committee Chairman at Lake Superior College, where she has served since 2004.
In her spare time, Shold enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian, and their seven children and grandson. Her hobbies include photography, gardening, and boating on Lake Superior.
