John Shannon Joins MCCU Business Team

(Duluth, MN)  May 30, 2019   Members Cooperative Credit Union (MCCU) is pleased to announce John Shannon’s new role as Business Services Officer.   In his new position, John will work directly with current and prospective business members in the Duluth area.  He will be based out of the Spirit Valley location at 215 N 40th Ave W. in Duluth.

John has been with MCCU since 2010, most recently serving as Branch Manager at the credit union’s Moose Lake location.  Prior to this role, John held several positions within, including Member Relationship Coordinator, Financial Solutions Consultant (FSC), New Hire Trainer, and FSC Trainer.  “I have always enjoyed learning a new role and immersing myself in it,” said John.  “I love working with our members, collaborating with team members across different departments, and learning from other’s thoughts and ideas.”  “I am thrilled to remain a part of MCCU’s mission and to provide financial solutions to our business community.”

In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his wife, Nicole, and their three children.  Most evenings, they are sitting courtside or at an ice arena watching their kids’ sports practice and cheering them on.  John and his family also enjoy the great outdoors where you’ll find them tubing on the lake, side-by-siding down a dusty trail, or hiking and snowshoeing in Minnesota’s nature. John is a recent graduate of the MCCU Emerging Leaders Program.  He is also a current board member of The Mercy Foundation, Moose Lake Area Chamber, and Moose Lake Area Food Shelf.
