    Data Specialist

    MCCU is seeking a Full-Time Data Specialist in the Duluth office.

    The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members Cooperative Credit Union in living out its mission to be the primary positive financial influence in the lives of our members/owners. To achieve this goal, the employee must provide outstanding service to both internal and external members. The Data Specialist is responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of data using complex analysis of datasets in areas of research, development, product enhancement or other targeted business objectives. This position will use advanced methods to analyze and interpret data from various sources with an outcome to solve critical business needs for internal or external clients. This position will ensure data integrity by implementing quality assurance practices, gathering and entering missing data, and resolving any anomalies and use established statistical methods to determine data sources, sample sizes and appropriate methods to create and interpret reports.

    Qualifications Include: Bachelor’s in Computer Science degree or Management Information Systems, 1-2 years’ experience in databases, and understanding of programing languages including .NET, C#, PHP. Ability to effectively communicate and perform problem resolution steps is required for this position.

    Collections Manager

    MCCU is seeking a Full-Time Collections Manager in the Duluth office.

    The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members Cooperative Credit Union in living out its mission to be the primary positive financial influence in the lives of our members/owners. One of the primary means to achieve this end is to develop a highly effective team of employees and developing each employee to their highest potential through coaching and leadership. Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal customers and external members. A key component of this service to internal customers and the credit union is to identify the probability of losses and recoveries; and a key component for members is identify appropriate member solutions. This position is responsible for managing the debt collection process of the credit union’s loan portfolio to ensure that delinquency rates and loss ratios are kept at manageable levels, and to help monitor adherence to the credit union’s loan and collection policies.

    Qualifications Include: 4-year college degree in business or a related field and at least six years of financial industry collections experience, a portion of which includes relevant management experience; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Experience in lending and/or supervising people is desirable.

    Collector

    MCCU is seeking a Full-Time Collector in the Duluth office.

    The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members Cooperative Credit Union in living out its mission to be the primary positive financial influence in the lives of our members/owners. To achieve this goal the employee must provide outstanding service to both internal and external members. In addition, this position is responsible for the collection process of the credit union’s loan portfolio to ensure the timely repayment of member debt and provide support as needed in other areas of lending and collections.

    Qualifications Include: High school diploma and a minimum of three years experience in the financial industry with a minimum of one year of collection experience preferred; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

    Member Service Representative

    MCCU is seeking a Part-Time Member Service Representative (teller) in the Cloquet office.

    The ideal candidate will be able to identify the financial needs of the member and recommend an appropriate credit union solution. In addition, this position is responsible for executing financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner to promote and maintain positive member relationships.

    Qualifications Include: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred minimum of one year experience in retail, preferably in a credit union or bank.

    Collections Assistant

    MCCU is seeking a Full -Time Collections Assistant in the Duluth office.

    The employee must provide outstanding service to both internal and external members. In addition, this position is responsible for collecting on returned check items and for providing support and backup to the department to improve on the overall efficiency within the department. The ideal candidate will monitor and close negative share and share draft accounts. Also, respond daily to member and/or staff phone calls or questions regarding returned check items or negative share or share draft accounts that have been closed.

    Qualifications Include: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years’ experience in the financial industry; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
