The Duluth News Tribune asked the Northland to vote for the best of the best.

After 165,743 votes were cast in this year's ballot, DNT determined the Northland's best of the best among 4 major categories. These categories include:

• Arts & Entertainment
• Dining & Drinking
• Local Businesses
• Services

Within the Local Businesses category, Members Cooperative Credit Union was voted the best credit union.
