FINANCIAL TIPS FOR SNOWBIRDS

Heading to a warmer winter destination? Take us along with you!

Coordinating your winter travel plans can be chaotic. At MCCU, we make it easier for you! Simply follow this checklist before you set flight to your winter paradise, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Set up an online banking account. For your everyday banking needs, we encourage you to set up a free online banking account which gives you access to all of your accounts, anytime or anywhere. Check your account balances and transactions, transfer funds, access e-statements, pay your bills online, and so much more!

Update your mailing address. Do you receive paper statements or checks in the mail? If so, be sure to notify us of your winter address to ensure prompt delivery. Simply login to your online banking account and send us a message to update your seasonal address. You can also update your address in person or through video banking.

Set a travel status on your MCCU debit cards. While you’re logged into online banking, click on the “travel notification” link or send us a message to let us know the timeframe you will be gone and the states/countries you will be visiting. We‘ll adjust the status of your debit card accordingly, so there is no disruption with your card usage. For those who prefer to actively manage their debit card usage and spending, try MCCU Card Secure through the MCCU-Mobile Banking App. (Please note: downloading and logging into MCCU Mobile is required.)

Download our MCCU-Mobile banking app. Take your online banking account with you, wherever you go, by downloading our free MCCU-Mobile Banking App. It offers all the same conveniences as online banking, plus a few additional services like Mobile Check Deposit and MCCU Card Secure.

Deposit your check(s) using your smartphone or mobile device. Have a check to deposit while you’re away? Use MCCU’s Mobile Check Deposit to deposit funds directly into your account. Simply login to your MCCU-Mobile Banking App to get started. Then, click on “Deposits”, follow the prompts, upload a photo of your check, and go!
