Heathyr Dahline
Regional Branch Manager - Grand Rapids & Baxter
Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MN. I left only to attend St. Olaf College and the College of St. Scholastica before returning to raise my family.
What was your journey to joining MCCU?
My family has always owned businesses in northern Minnesota, and I grew up dreaming of managing their companies. After college, I joined and managed their printing and design business. One day, I received an opportunity to join the financial world. I was instantly hooked by the credit union mission. Serving my community and helping members improve their financial wellbeing was something I knew I could love. I joined a credit union as a teller before moving into lending, title, and mortgage origination. When Members Cooperative merged with Lakes Area Credit Union, I was proud to join the team as branch manager.
What are you passionate about?
My biggest passion is serving others. Whether at the credit union, at home, or in the community, I want to help others live their best lives. I am grateful for those who have helped me over the years, and I want to pay it forward by continuing to help others.
What are some interesting facts about you?
I have four kids ages 3-11 years old. I love to shoot bow and drive jeeps on any trail. I would take a weekend in the Boundary Waters over any other vacation, hands down.
What is your favorite MCCU product or service, and why?
My favorite service is Members Video Banking. Members can download the Members Video Banking app on their computer or mobile device to connect face-to-face with an MCCU team member. They can use this technology to apply for loans, open new accounts, and more! I love reading feedback from our members who’ve used it and absolutely love it - it’s one of the most inspiring parts of my job. Investing in such an important service and having an exceptional team to manage it, shows that we are carrying out our credit union’s mission. What message would you like to share about MCCU or credit unions in general?
We are here to help. Let’s face it, banking can be intimidating, but we are here to help our members (and future members) through any situation life throws at them. We are here to identify their needs and provide solutions that will help build their financial lives to where they want them to be.
