Dollar Dog Has Arrived! Dollar Dog made his first-ever appearance at Membership Appreciation Day at our Aitkin branch on Friday, June 20. From the reaction of the children present and their parents, Dollar Dog is already quite a hit! The first new member to open a Dollar Dog Savings Account was Karsten Larson from Aitkin, as featured on the front cover of the Jack Pine newsletter, with Suzanne Leland from our Aitkin branch. Statistics show that most kids today don't learn nearly enough about effectively managing money. By starting the education process early, your children will be better equipped to make wise financial decisions in the future.

Backpack Drive through August 15
MCCU's People Helping People Committee launches its First Annual Backpack Drive to benefit local students who can't afford to buy back-to-school supplies. With current rising food, fuel and gas prices, more families will need help with school supplies than ever before.
What's needed: Backpacks of all sizes, colored pencils, composition books, crayons, glue sticks, highlighters, loose-leaf paper, pencils and pencil cases, pencil sharpeners, pens, rulers, scientific calculators, scissors, spiral notebooks, tape, three-ring binders, two-pocket folders.
Bring backpacks and/or supplies to any MCCU branch now through August 15. We will coordinate distribution of the donated supplies to deserving students in the branch's area schools.
Real Life. Real Benefits.
When you think about it, that statement really summarizes what we’re all about. As simple as it is, it did not appear spontaneously. It was the result of a marketing strategic planning initiative that marks the beginning of a new ad campaign for Members Cooperative Credit Union.
Nelson & Company, Inc—an area marketing, advertising, and public relations agency—was brought on board to help with the planning, development, and implementation of the branding campaign set to officially launch fourth quarter of this year (but you may see a sneak peek here and there between now and then). It will appear in all media and will breath new life into our website, lobby marketing, member correspondence, event sponsorships and so on.
The goal is to make you aware of the real advantages MCCU offers and we are very excited about the progress and potential of the message. It’s always been about real people with real financial wants, needs, and obligations and the way MCCU creates products and services to benefit you, our members. In short: Real life. Real benefits.
