A Culture of Service
At Members Cooperative Credit Union, our mission is much more than words splashed up on the wall. It’s something we live every day. As a credit union, we’re here to help our members live well and realize their dreams – whether home ownership, college or a secure retirement. And we understand that helping them live their best life means being a passionate supporter of the communities they live in.
Since our inception over 75 years ago, we have supported events like the Cloquet Home for the Holidays parade, Grandma’s Marathon, Carlton Daze, the Lincoln Park Mountain Bike Challenge, and many of our area’s youth sports organizations. We’ve also organized credit union-wide participation in Salvation Army Bell ringing, Habitat for Humanity home building projects, Relay for Life teams, and more. Through our Members Cooperative Community Youth Foundation, we’ve awarded scholarships to some of our area’s most accomplished and creative students.
It’s a culture of service that we encourage in our employees, and we’re very proud of the roles many play outside of the workplace. Members Cooperative Credit Union employees volunteer their time at organizations like the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank, Memorial Blood Center, the Kerrick Fire and Rescue Department, Goodwill, Cloquet Youth Softball, Bethany Crisis Nursery and CHUM. They serve on boards and committees including the Duluth Area Chamber of Chamber of Commerce, Fit City Duluth, Twin Ports Business Builders, Disabled American Veterans, and many more.
