The support of our communities got us here. We believe in giving back.
At Members Cooperative Credit Union, our mission is much more than words splashed on a lobby wall; it’s something we live every day. As a credit union, we’re here to help our members live well and realize their goals and dreams. For 75 years, MCCU has been a steadfast and passionate supporter of our member communities.
Since our inception in 1936, we've supported a huge range of local events, groups, and organizations. We’ve also organized credit union-wide participation in Salvation Army bell ringing, Habitat for Humanity home building projects, blood drives, Relay for Life teams, and many other volunteer and fundraising efforts. Through our Members Cooperative Community Youth Foundation, we’ve awarded scholarships to some of our area’s most accomplished and creative students.
We encourage a culture of service among our employees, and we’re very proud of the roles many play outside of the workplace. MCCU employees volunteer their time throughout our communities, in all kinds of wonderful ways.
In 2012, our organization and employees contributed to the following charities, causes and special events, (among many others):
- Aitkin Riverwood Hospital
- American Heart Association
- CHUM (Churches United in Ministry)
- Cloquet Area Young Life
