MISSION:
The Members Cooperative Credit Union Community Youth Foundation is committed to empowering youth in our communities by promoting financial literacy and academic achievement primarily through the awarding scholarships to students in grades 6 – 12.
VISION:
To encourage youth at an early age to obtain a higher education and financial literacy.
OBJECTIVES:
MCCU Community Youth Foundation fulfills its Mission and achieves its Vision by:
• Encouraging youth at an early age to strive to obtain a higher education by awarding college scholarships;
• Developing and supporting programs that help parents and students understand personal finances to be prepared for college and life afterward; and
• Intertwining the awarding of college scholarships with financial literacy
BOARD MEMBERS:
The Foundation brings together a Board of people who represent all age groups, are from all around the region, and who are all passionate about the future of youth in our communities. In fact, as a requirement, three Board members must be 21 years of age or younger. Youth will be represented not only on the Foundation’s Board, but also in its committees, its fundraising efforts, and its grant rewarding process.

GRANT OPPORTUNITIES:
The Community Youth Foundation Grant Program provides money for program support to non-profit organizations and must directly or indirectly benefit youth in our community. Grant applications are reviewed and awarded six times per year. For more information, contact us at grantscommittee@membersccu.org

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
The Foundation is funded through individual and corporate contributions, fundraising events and $5 membership fees. Members get the right to attend special events and vote in annual elections, plus other benefits to be determined by the Board.
